Time

Perhaps an image which evokes more the New Year than just some Tuesday in the middle of summer, but I felt like posting it to remind me that time heals all.

A lovely summer day here in the Dordogne, Enjoy yours!

Beyond Gates

“In sight, is it out of reach?” I find myself asking this question, perhaps not always with the same words, but inevitably with the same feeling behind it. I guess you can also call these thoughts : dreams, hopes, aspirations, projects. All have a positive spin to it, but there is also the “challenge” aspect which comes along and can lay a shadow across the image. Challenges I am learning, can either feel good and motivating (which is great!), but sometimes they can take on a daunting “I’m going to fail, it’s never going to work” hue (which is less great when you are feeling it).

The real goal is to keep that “light at the end of the tunnel” out there in front of you.

Light on Black

Several days ago I was in Sarlat and my eye caught sight of this cool black door. It was not lacquered and shiny black, but rather matte. What I liked was that even in daylight it almost looked like a “natural” black and white image, I did not need to convert to B&W, just left it as is.

Enjoy your day – I know I will!
