Airport Hotel Macro
Sitting in a Roissy airport hotel room, trying to “relax” before a 4:00am wake-up call, I just wanted to drop you a note to say that I’m fluttering between free hotel wifi signals, airport signals, and who knows what awaits me when we arrive in the Casamance tomorrow!
For my 365 challenge, I spotted these sweet little white flowers outside the hotel. Late or early bloomers? You decide!
See you soon from the “Pays de Teranga”!
A Linden Grows in New York
Linden in New York, originally uploaded by On Linden Way.
My dear sister recently emailed my these images she captured while walking in NYC. Being a native New Yorker, I know the pleasure of stumbling across something delightfully unexpected and sort of “secret”. The encounter makes you smile to yourself as the crazy pace of The City swirls around, oblivious to your amusing experience.
Thanks L!

Faded
“The splendor of the rose and the whitness of the lily do not rob the little violet of it’s scent nor the daisy of its simple charm. If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its lovliness.”
– Therese of Lisieux
Snow Blossoms
In the depths of winter I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.

Snowflake
From the now frosty fields, I found this little lovely!
Snow and Rose “berry”
What I love about taking photos in the snow is that you see things which sometimes your eye does not catch onto as easily. In this case, the rose ‘berry” really popped against the white snow background.
